# Invite your team and manage roles

> Invite teammates to your workspace and see what each role can do.

A workspace becomes more valuable when you share it with your team. Teammates don't need to set anything up: they accept the invitation and can start reading docs or asking AI.

## Roles

Each workspace member has one of four roles.

| Role | What they can do |
| --- | --- |
| **Owner** | Controls the entire workspace. |
| **Admin** | Invites and removes members and changes settings. Handles admin-only settings such as the external editor access policy. |
| **Editor** | Edits documents, projects, and sources. Can create document projects and start document generation. |
| **Viewer** | Read-only access. Can't create document projects. |

<Note>
  Role-based permissions and multiple teammates are available on the Team plan. You can add up to 100 members per workspace. For details, see [Plans](/en/resources/plans).
</Note>

</Warning>

## Manage members

- **Change Role**: Change a member's role to Admin, Editor, or Viewer.
- **Suspend**: Blocks workspace access but keeps the member's record and role. You can reactivate them anytime.
- **Remove**: Removes the member from the workspace. This action can't be undone.

## Document access

If you open a document you don't have permission for, you can send an access request. What coding agents can read over MCP is also limited to the scope your workspace permissions allow. See [Tokens and access policies](/en/mcp/access).
